Carbone

11x14 Acrylic on Canvas painting of Carbone. The current state of New York City has been defined by outdoor dining as each restaurant has it's own unique ensemble. Carbone, a high-end, retro-glam Italian restaurant in Greenwich Village stands out with all of it's glow from the heaters to the lamps to it's famous, vintage luminous sign. Walking past this dramatic downtown scene quickly inspired me to transfer it onto a canvas. Realistic elements such as fire escapes & garbage bags adds to the glitz & glamour of New York.
